A restored 1920s mountain lodge and private cabins on 40 acres of White Mountains forest — where the Wi-Fi is slow, the coffee is strong, and the only alarm clock is a bald eagle.

Years of mountain history
Built in the 1920s as a hunting retreat, Moose Lodge at Bison Ranch has welcomed travelers, families, and wanderers to the White Mountains for nearly a century. The original timber beams still hold up the porch. The pine trees outside your window are the same ones that shaded the first guests.
Today, we've preserved every character of that era — the wide-plank floors, the stone fireplace, the creak of the staircase — while adding modern comfort where it counts: real mattresses, hot showers, and heating that actually works when the mountain wind picks up.
We're 30 minutes from Flagstaff, 10 minutes from Oak Creek Canyon, and exactly as far from everywhere else as you need to be.

From the historic main lodge to secluded cabins tucked into the pines — every room has a view that makes you forget your phone exists.
Original timber beams, shared courtyards, and the kind of morning light that makes you slow down. Each room is different — that's the charm of a building this old.
Standalone cabins set among the pines — your own little compound with a porch, fire pit, and zero shared walls. Perfect for couples or anyone who needs the quiet.
Reunions, family gatherings, or a weekend with the crew — book the whole lodge and turn it into your private mountain estate. We handle the rest.
The White Mountains don't rush. Neither should you. Here's what fills your days when the schedule disappears.
At 7,000 feet, the sky opens up. Bring a blanket. The Milky Way here looks like it was painted by someone who really cared.
Elk graze the meadow at dawn. Turkey crosses the driveway. On a good morning, you'll see a moose wading through the creek below the lodge.
Footsteps from the porch, you're on trail. Pine Ridge, Oak Creek — the White Mountains have more miles than most people know about.
Every evening, the fire pits come alive. S'mores, stories, and the kind of conversation that only happens when nobody's checking their phone.
The White Mountains aren't a backdrop. They're the main event. Here's a glimpse of what surrounds you when you stay with us.
"The best hotels don't just give you a place to sleep. They give you a reason to look out the window."
— Every guest who's ever stood on our porch at dawn
We're perched at 7,000 feet in Overgaard, Arizona — a quiet mountain town that feels like it was built for people who'd rather hike than shop.
Flagstaff is 30 minutes south (airports, restaurants, everything you'd need). Oak Creek Canyon is a short drive west. The Mogollon Rim stretches out to the north like the edge of the world.
